training

The One Seven® Academy mainly offers three different train-the-trainer courses. Each of these courses consists of theoretical part supported by various videos and images and a practical part.

During the practical part the participants, under the guidance and supervision of Master Instructor, will have to give one or more instructions. To ensure that every participant will receive enough knowledge and attention the maximum group size is restricted to 10 participants.

At special request it is also possible to have the complete fire brigade trained by the One Seven® Academy in the correct use of One Seven®.

Basic Training

The Basic Training is a 2-day course in which a theoretical explanation of One Seven® and its use will be given. Besides that things like the correct nozzle handling will be addressed, as well as various “hot” scenarios such as the door procedure, the car fire, but for instance also the defensive outside attack. On special request this training can be extended with 1 extra day to give more information about fire behaviour.

Refresher Training

To make sure that the knowledge of the use of One Seven® stays up-t-date- within the fire brigade or organisation, all the certified One Seven® instructors have to follow a so-called 2 yearly Refresher Training. During this training their earlier taught skills will be checked and adjusted if necessary and also new developments will be shared with the One Seven® instructors.
